A quick checklist to make sure you're set up for success.

Equipment & Features

  • Chairs and folding table (outdoor entertaining)
  • Full kitchen — stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, utensils
  • Bedding and pillows for all sleeping positions
  • Towels for all occupants
  • Cleaning equipment including cloths and glass cleaning product
  • First-aid kit, fire extinguisher, and smoke detector

Safety & Maintenance

Inspect before you drive

Walk around the motorhome before departure and note any existing damage or issues. Take photos for your own records.

Fuel, oil & water

You are responsible for maintaining fuel, engine oil, and water levels throughout your hire. Check these daily on longer trips.

Safety equipment

The van is equipped with a first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, and smoke detector. Familiarise yourself with their locations at handover.

Fresh & grey water

Monitor fresh water tank levels and empty the grey water tank at dump points. Your handover briefing will cover both systems.

Fuel Policy

The motorhome is provided to you with a full tank of diesel. It must be returned with a full tank of diesel.

Please refuel before returning the van. Failure to return with a full tank will result in the cost of fuel plus a refuelling fee being deducted from your bond.

The van consumes approximately 12L/100km — factor this into your trip budget when planning your itinerary.

Cleaning on Return

The van must be returned in a reasonably clean condition, both inside and outside.

As a minimum, the front passenger windows and windscreen must be cleaned inside and outside using two separate cloths and a glass cleaning product — both of which are provided in the cleaning kit.

Returning the van in poor condition may result in a cleaning fee being deducted from your bond.

Additional Costs to Budget For

  • Fuel — estimate based on your itinerary and the van's diesel consumption (~12L/100km)
  • Campsite fees — free camping is available, but powered sites and national parks have fees. Research in advance.
  • Dump point fees — some caravan parks charge a small fee to use their dump point
  • Optional extras — bike racks, generators, or other equipment not included in the standard kit

On the Road

Parking, off-grid living, and making the most of your trip.

Parking & Storage

  1. 1Park on a level, firm surface to prevent tyre damage or uneven weight distribution.
  2. 2Avoid soft or uneven ground such as grass or sand — the van can sink or become stuck. Use the levelling equipment provided.
  3. 3Ensure sufficient clearance around the motorhome for easy entry and exit.
  4. 4Park in a secure, well-lit area — preferably with CCTV surveillance where possible.
  5. 5Do not park in a way that obstructs traffic or pedestrian paths.
  6. 6Park away from busy roads to ensure passing traffic cannot contact the wide body of the motorhome.

Off-Grid & Boondocking

The motorhome is fully equipped for off-grid use with 600AH lithium batteries and solar panels. Boondocking (camping outside designated campgrounds, often on public land) is permitted under our agreement, but NOT encouraged — just follow the guidelines below if you find it to be necessary.

Leave No Trace

Follow the "Leave No Trace" principles — pack out everything you pack in, and leave your campsite as you found it.

Find good sites, don't make them

Use established campsites where possible. Avoid creating new tracks or clearings in sensitive vegetation.

Check with the managing agency

Before camping on public land, check with the relevant land management agency (National Parks, State Forests, local council) for any restrictions.

Generator use

Generator usage is governed by local council bylaws or campsite regulations. Check the rules for your specific location before running the generator.

Hiring Rules

Please read these before your trip — they form part of your hire agreement.

No smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the motorhome at all times. This includes e-cigarettes and vaping. Violation will result in a cleaning fee.

Pets — case by case

We love animals and consider pet requests individually. Please contact us before booking to discuss your pet. Conditions may apply.

Occupancy limit

Maximum 6 occupants: up to 4 adults and any children, or 2 adults and up to 4 children under 12. Do not exceed this limit.

No towing

Towing trailers, caravans, or other vehicles is strictly prohibited under the hire agreement.

No subletting

The motorhome may not be sublet or transferred to any person not named in the hire agreement.

Personal use only

The motorhome is for personal, non-commercial use only. It may not be used for paid tours, film production, or any commercial activity.
